Practice Policies

Operating Hours

We appreciate the opportunity to meet you, answer your questions, and treat you in our clinic during the following times:

Monday – Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Staff and resources have been arranged for your appointment and we request 24-hour notice in the event that you are unable to attend one of these so that arrangements can be made to reallocate these resources. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require you to reschedule an appointment; however, if you do not notify us 24 hours in advance after the second missed appointment you may be subject to an additional fee to cover overhead costs.

All failed appointments should be rescheduled as soon as possible. Since the early and later appointments are usually booked out several weeks in advance, it may be necessary to reschedule the missed appointment during the middle of the day.

Please remember to book appointments before coming in, as our practice may not be able to see a patient that has not booked an appointment if the clinic is already full. This can be an embarrassing situation for everyone.

Policy for Parents

Parents play an important role in their child’s orthodontic treatment. However, because we want an enjoyable experience and a successful outcome for all our patients, we have listed our policy regarding your child’s appointments.

We request that the parent/guardian attending the scheduled appointment, remain in the reception area during the treatment procedure. At the completion of the procedure, you will be invited into the clinical area to be informed of the treatment completed. Any queries you may have will be addressed at this time by either the doctor or the therapist.

The Role of Dental Hygienists

Our Dental Hygienists are qualified to perform many of the routine orthodontic procedures under the supervision of our Orthodontist. These procedures include taking of diagnostic records, giving oral hygiene instructions, and placing orthodontic archwires. This modern style of orthodontic practice is facilitated throughout the world, and enables us to improve the quality of care for our patients.
